The fishing has been " Awesome " Offshore has been producing double digit Albie's daily. Mixed in has been Rainbow & Blue Runner's. King's are out there, but it's been a late bite.

Last night was a good nite Snooking. All but 1 fish was taken on a white spun deer hair w/a red nose on floating line. Tuff condition's w/all this wind were having.

The King Mackrel have finally started to make there spring showing. Got smoked by one on sat only to have him brake off. This is the time to hang a big smoker. The offshore fishing has been very good for Albie's & alot of Rainbow Runner's. Dock light's have been producing some nice size Snook. Alot of the light's have been coverd w/sm Jack's, & even got a nice Snapper.

Went offshore today even w/the forecast not looking to good. The ride out was fine & the fishing was good. Albie's & Blue Runner's were caught. Had 2 Dolphin come in but couldn't get them to stay long. Most Albie's were on the small side, but managed 1 decent fish. The wind came up w/a vengeance around 10:30 which cut off our quest to run the beach in search of the school's of Jack's heading north.

Dock light fishing has been o.k. Prensentation is the key to getting bite's. Offshore has been awesome. With the S.E. wind's we've been having. These are the wind's that push our summertime fish in. This week was an exceptional Dolphin bite.We went out looking for Albie's. We got a few of them & then it just became a Dolphin show. Had them around the boat for 3 hour's. Had to change fly's 11 time's as they get onto what's going on. Fly's that worked the best were a splayed hackle Deciever style fly w/ EP fiber's for belly & wing. The beach's are still producing Blue's & Spanish Mackrel.

The Lady fish have left the I.C.W. here. Jensen Beach area has been loaded w/Trout. Fly of choice there has been Yellow/White Clouser w/Gold flash Should have a small video clip of the Dolphin up this weekend..

The fishing in the River & I.C.W. has been very good. With the warm winter we had we did not see a Pompano run to talk about. There's plenty of Small Jack's, Lady's, Blue's & some Spanish Mackrel. Dock light Snooking has been very consistent, the only problem were having is alot of dock's we usually fish have been void of light. This week the beach's have had some school's of Big Jack's & acre's of Blue Fish. Offshore we got into little Albie's , Blue & Rainbow Runner's , & some Amberine's.

The new boat finally arrived & have to say it ride's alot nicer then the Contender. It's a 27 Onlsow Bay O/E. She's powerd by twin Mercury Verado 250's . She has 2 livewell's to carry plenty of chummie's offshore. Cushion's around entire boat for comfort all day while casting & fighting fish She can carry 14 rigged fly rod's.

Fishing has been pretty good . The river has been producing the usual Lady's , Jack's, & even some Snook. Last week we had Capt. Bryan from N.Y. out & we managed 1 sm Snook while sight fishing to many 20# plus fish . It was nice sight fishing I need to get a push pole. The dock light's have been o.k. many light's have been over taken by sm Jack's. Offshore this week we had quite a few Albie's. We ran the beach the other day & found school's of giant Jack's. We got 1 to eat & did the Trout set. Spinner Shark's are showing in Palm Beach & saw some today in Hobe Sound.

I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

The wind has been a problem down here for the past few month's. Lucky if you can get on the ocean 1 day a week. The new boat came in & they built it wrong, so we did not accept it. We should have a new boat in January. I made my annual journey up north in November to do my favorite kind of fishing , winter Steelheading. Spent a week w/my good friend Lucky Chucky ( www.luckychuckyflies.com ). The weather was warm except for the 2nd to last day when we were hit w/lake effect snow storm. At one point during the late morning on friday it was hard to see accross the river it was snowing so hard. I like when the weather get's like that as I think the fish turn on. I got my biggest fish of the trip during the snow. We even got into f Brown Trout every day, which is a not that i've seen this. Most fish were caught on Sucker Spawn ( Thank's Andy ) & Chucky's Rainbow Bead Egg fly's.

The winter resident fish have shown up. River's have plenty of Sm. Jack's , Lady's , & even Popano have started to show. Dock light Snooking has been pretty good. Find the bridge that has Mullet & you'll find some nice size Snook. We've made a few trip's running the beach & the usual area's are holding plenty of Spanish Mackrel. Next month we should start to see the winter run of King's , Jack's & Spinner Shark's.

Since we sold the Contender ( New one should be ready end of Oct. ) we've only been fishing the river. The river is full of Mullet & Glass Minnow's. Were not having a problem finding big Snook & baby tarpoon, problem is staying buttoned to them. Fishing 8wt's w/floating line's w/deer hair & big crease fly's. We've hooked & jumped some Tarpoon & had probably the biggest Snook i've ever seen eat the deer hair mullet. We watched theis fish eat take some line & come up shaking it's head & never set the hook.There's been some Jack's around also. The dock light's & bridge's have been outstanding. This week we've had some really nice fish on 3" Glass Minnow pattern's. Had one on tuesday night that was to much on the 7wt. Couldn't stop the fish & she found the bridge pieling.
